I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
